John is the owner and founder of By The Yard. Originally from Albuquerque, John moved to Arizona when he was 27 years old with big dreams to own his own business.  He got his start installing blinds and eventually found his niche in the home improvement world.

Colleen obtained her degree from Kent State University in Ohio and has been working with By The Yard for 21 years. Colleen has a classic style statement but she enjoys working with many different interior styles and specializes in creating beautiful looks using different fabrics, accessories and colors.​

Annette has been in the fabric industry for over 18 years. Mostly eclectic, she has a distinctive way of putting ideas together. She encourages her clients to think outside of the box and look beyond their comfort zone.

Samantha has an Interior Design degree from a local CIDA accredited college. Her passion is creating spaces that are specifically suited to her client and their lifestyle.  The outcome of each project is for the clients to feel inspired and nurtured in their home.   

Helena has a degree in Textiles from California Polytechnic State University and has been with By The Yard for over 14 years. Helena likes for you to pick out a fabric you love, and then she will assist in designing your room around it. Helena’s motto is, “Life is too short for solids.”
